We assisted with the design and build of the Top Shelf Bar and Cafe in front of the State Library of Queensland. In line with the brief, we worked with UPLIT to design and build a stunning, relaxed, creative pop-up venue with multipurpose event flooring, picket fencing, cafe furniture, chairs, dry bars, umbrellas and more. We constructed the catering marquee and supplied a complete fit out of catering equipment for a fully-functional bar and cafe setup, allowing the team from The Charming Squire to operate efficiently over the course of the Festival.

Building the large dome tent to bring Angel’s Palace to life on the QAGOMA lawn was a construction challenge. Ensuring the protection of the grassed surface underneath meant the design and support of the sub-structure and ballast was of the utmost importance. Providing technical support to the dome builders and engineers, we designed and installed our natural integrated flooring and anchored the dome with our concrete weights to ensure a safe structure for the duration of the Festival.

Additional event hire for the Word Play area  included marquees, pop-ups, event security fencing and more. The end result for this Festival was a fantastic setup and a creative and culturally inspiring event.
